Raketa in watchmaking
The Petrodvorets Watch Factory introduced the Raketa name—Russian for “rocket”—after Yuri Gagarin’s spaceflight in 1961. The factory produced its own mechanical movements and designed watches for everyday use as well as polar explorers, sailors, military personnel, and specialized professions.
